Posse Fun
Yesterday we got to work at the Bulls and Barrels rodeo at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. It's always fun to do these types of events because we get to be involved with all the action and meet face to face with several hundred Roseburgites. It always amazing me how many people with try to get into the place without paying for admission. For sure it's a very small percentage of the folks that go but still . . . come on people it's only ten bucks to get in and it takes a lot of work and a lot of folks to make it happen for our enjoyment. Anyway it was fun. The top bull rider last night was a man from Washington and scored 86 points! The top barrel racer ran the barrels in 14.03 seconds and nobody else even came close, I forget where she was from but I know she wasn't from this area. They had team roping going on too but I didn't get to see that because I was out in a corner of the building. It ended around 10:00pm and we headed home for some popcorn and relaxation.

Sounds fun! I'm kind of jealous, it's been forever since I've been to any sort of rodeo.
ReplyDelete:( Maybe this year...
It was fun Tara. They stopped the Umpqua Valley Rodeo a couple years ago so the Bulls and Barrels is the only one we have in Roseburg.
